Busby Web Solutions opened a Busby SEO Challenge contest last June 1, 2008 and will be finished by august 31, 2008. This year, this search engine optimization contest is looking for the best SEO practitioners for including the key phrase of Busby SEO Challenge onto their web page. Anybody can join this contest, and the participants or contestants are allowed only using the ethical SEO techniques that engaged in this contest. In general, there are 3 main techniques for SEO. Those are white hat, black hat, and gray hat.

Generally, there are two main techniques of good design SEO and not approved SEO, that commonly known as spamdexing, or spamming and indexing. White hat is considered as the good design search engine optimization. The technique itself is run on the same track with the search engines’ guidelines. There is no deception writing on it. Moreover, white hat SEO techniques are also ensuring the content to what the person are looking for. Some IT practitioners may sees similarity within white hat and web development promotes. It is because in both techniques is summarizing up the content for accessibility users. This is ethical techniques that good to be used in participating on the Busby SEO Challenge 2008 contest.

Black hat SEO is considered as the disapproval techniques, because in these techniques, it is involve the deception. Redirects, using keyword stuffing, duplicate sites are other techniques that considered as the black hat SEO techniques. In gray SEO techniques, the content is includes “mild artificial linking schemes”. The gray hat SEO techniques still can be improved by adding more contents that is related to the key phrase. Through this three brief description of SEO techniques, it is obviously that Busby SEO Challenge prefers the contestants that use the white hat SEO techniques than the others.
